Bajaj Chetak Electric Expands Presence in Nepal with New Experience Zone in Pokhara

Bajaj Chetak Electric has expanded its retail presence in Nepal with the opening of a new exclusive Experience Zone in Nayabazar, Pokhara. The facility is part of the brand’s broader effort to extend its electric two-wheeler network beyond Kathmandu and improve accessibility in key urban markets.

The inauguration was attended by representatives from Golchha Group along with the leadership team of Hansraj Hulaschand & Co. Ltd., the official distributor of Bajaj two-wheelers in Nepal.

The new outlet follows the Experience Zone format, which focuses on a structured retail and service environment for electric scooters.

The Pokhara facility is designed to combine vehicle display, customer consultation, test ride arrangements, purchase assistance, and a dedicated service area for Chetak Electric owners.

It also includes digital product interfaces intended to help customers review specifications and understand charging and usage aspects of electric mobility.

Alongside the showroom expansion, the Bajaj Chetak Electric lineup in Nepal includes the Chetak 3501, priced at Rs 3.24 lakh.

The model is positioned in the premium electric scooter segment and is claimed to offer a certified range of 153 km on a single charge, with a 0–80% charging time of around three hours.

In terms of features, the scooter comes with 35 litres of under-seat storage and a 5-inch TFT display that supports functions such as navigation, music control, and document access.

It also incorporates safety and security features including geo-fencing, accident detection, and anti-theft systems, aligning it with current connected scooter offerings in the market.

The new Experience Zone and the Chetak EV positioning reflect the gradual expansion of organized EV retail infrastructure in Nepal, alongside increasing adoption of connected electric scooters in urban commuting segments.
